Ebby
What would be the signs that the EGR valve is not working properly? no codes up so I think that carbon is building up in the valve. Thanks
BodybyFisher
I sticking EGR will produce codes, like the PINDLE POSITION code. OynxSTS
EGR's fail three ways 1) Stuck Open = Rough idle, difficult cold start, engine stalls 2) Leaking while closed = Not as bad as stuck open but in the same ball park 3) Stuck Closed = This is harder to diagnose... but usually you will get high NOS readings during an emissions check.. Some engines will knock and ping under load... Good Luck I agree with BByF... Most times N*s will issue a code.
