BigCat83
Hi, what is the fastest way to access the DTCs in my '97 Eldo? The "Service Engine Soon" light came on on my way home from work last night, so I must pull the code and check it out. Considering that it's the Service Engine light I'm assuming the problem is with the O2 sensors - correct assumption? Thanks all,

The dash will light up and do a segment check and then reel off codes. Be ready with a pencil and write them down. If you miss some thats ok, run it again. The check engine light comes up for a lot of reasons not just O2 sensors. When you get your codes you can check to see what they are here: http://myweb.accessus.net/~090/dtcobd2.html or you can post them and we can help with them, Mike Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm
