I was out with a few friends tonight.

I was in my 98 STS. Well while we were driving on the highway, I had to swerve over to another lane to not miss our cut off.

As soon as I was initiating the turn, the front end started to shake uncontrollably.

I thought I blew a tire.

We pulled over, and all looked fine.

I went to take off, and as soon as I gave it gas, it did it again, between 15mph-50mph. It seemed to get worse around 44mph for some reason.

When I would get up to speed, the shaking from side to side would go away????

But as soon as I got on the gas again, it would happen again???

Any idea what this might be?

I can't really hear any major noise, maybe a slight one, but it sounds more like the brakes slightly rubbing, and we jacked the car up, and didn't feel any play????

I am not getting any codes, and we drove all the way from Albany NY, to Hamilton ONT. like that.

I took it to the body shop, and told them it must be related to the accident. They said they will look at it in the AM.

I had the same problem with my 92 sts, check the motor mounts, I replaced both and it was fine. but if you get a shop to do it , its gonna cost an arm and a leg... and mabey a few fingers and toes.
