Yup, it will not only run the engine, but it will start it as well. The only downside will be an extended cranking period since the switch won't close until oil pressure has been established.

Warren:

Could you put up the associated schematic for the pump circuit? I would like to compare the '95 schematic diagram to my '98 just for my own information.

Try as I might, I just couldn't come up with a single page 4.6L version of this in my FSM.

Here's a 4.9L version that might help you: http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y299/WBuc...uelPumpHelp.jpg

If I come up with anything else, I'll get it to you. For now, forgive me. I have a lot of other stuff on my plate.

Warren

EDIT: Well, the dwg indicates DEVILLE/CONCOURS/ELDORADO/SEVILLE, so maybe it covers all engine models. I've learned NOT to make such assumptions, however.

There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as the result of a voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion, or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system involved. - Ludwig von Mises
