weephee
Hello. I was looking on ebay today and noticed that someone is selling an unlock code for navigation for 2002 to 2004 Cadillac sevilles. This will allow the front passenger to watch DVD's while the car is in drive. Ebay item is 8059899258. Do you know if this can be done or is it some kind of scam. Thanks for any comments. danbuc
Hmm...I know it can be done for the 2005 and up models. I think it should be able to work on the older NAV systems but I'm not sure. Hopefully osmeone who knows will post with the code.

Hopefully osmeone who knows will post with the code. Don't spend your money. I'll give it to you for free. The code is 1791. Press the 'note' button and hold for five seconds. A keypad will pop up. Key in 1791. You can do this at anytime the car is on, in gear or not, moving or not. This code works in my 2003 Seville STS and I understand it works in other models of various model years. 2003 Seville STS 43k miles with the Bose Sound, Navigation System, HID Headlamps, and MagneRide 1993 DeVille. BodybyFisher
You know...... at the bottom of my post about the guy that wants $5.... I wrote, BE ADVISED THAT THIS IS NOT ME! then I erased it... AND LOOK at what you say! Hey at 7,000 posts, I have made $35,000, so it's hardly worth the effort! Come to think of it Bill I think you owe me.... regarding the K&N advice I gave you, I am sending over my collectors (I wouldn't be so cheap either, $5 is hardly worth the effort, LOL) Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm

Hopefully osmeone who knows will post with the code. I'm pretty sure you've got this backwards... it works for 2002-2004 systems... GM deleted the "hack" for 2005 and new models... I think this hack was to be used by GM techs to test the system... I'm also guess that the GM legal department eliminated it... BodybyFisher
BillK, Unless you are making a poor joke, lets not talk stink about the guys on this forum. Ed Ed, I assumed that our friend Bill was kidding. Anyone who knows me knows I am the type who drives 1,000 miles, stays in a hotel, pays for the part and installs it, because I enjoy helping someone. Getting paid is the furthest thing from my mind. The thought of taking money for something I enjoy so much is preposterous. I am happy I have the same exact year & model as Bbf. if I ever have a problem with my car, I'm sure he can really help. Bill K
Dear Ed, I must disagree with you as I thought it was a great joke. And just to be sure there was no misunderstanding I used a which means "laughing out loud". Now I know that laughing at your own joke may be considered bad form in person, (Red Skelton excluded) its the only way to let you readers know that the intent was humerous. By the way, did you know there is a Fenwick, MI.?
Ed Fenwick
Sorry Bill I thought that you were being mean. I didn't see the laughing face. No, I didn't know about that town, but there is a Fanwick Island on the east coast that I would like to see one day. I'm from Maryland, I should have gone before I moved way over here. Again, sorry Ed
