cadillacjeff7777
Let me tell ya, there is nothing more blood curdling then watching your already totalled caddy get picked up by the roof with a big claw and then thrown. 2008 DTS

BMWburner
I'm really sorry to hear that you're '95 was stolen. The interior on the '92-95' was a work of art, and as mentioned in another thread you see fewer and fewer of those beauties on the road. I lost my '95 in a high speed collision about a month ago and have yet to find a newer llac' that bowls me over like that car did from the instant I first saw it. I also understand the feeling of seeing a beloved vehicle's remains in such a state. It's enough to send you to the therapist office. MAC
I'm sorry to hear your car was stolen. Sounds like the Bastards weren't caught--yet? 336K miles is amazing. It's the highest mileage I've seen on the board. What shape was it in?
cadillacjeff7777
At 336,000 miles it still ran like a top and no signs of being tired. The front seats were in pretty poor shape and off course the suspension message was up...but it didn't come up until around 318,000 miles. The only things replaced were the front left wheel hub, tail lights(due to fogging), a couple front marker lights, and the arm rest(cosmetic issues). Anyway, I went to bed Thursday night and found the car missing from infront of my house Friday morning and called the police. The officer came over and stated that she knew where my car was. I asked where and she told me that it was wrapped around a telephone pole on Pine St. I went and looked at it and it was totaled. She did not write a report nor did she investigate it at all. Anyway, since I was on a lay off and not driving anywhere, I had temporaraly dropped the insurance off of the car...so it is a total loss. 2008 DTS
cadillacjeff7777
Bill K I just noticed that you are over in Greenville. That is where I worked until I got laid off. I was the service dept. manager for a computer/internet company on 57 named Access Unlimited. 2008 DTS
canadian95sts
cadillacjeff7777, Sorry to hear about the car, that really sucks. Any idea how they were able to take it??, I had a 95 STS last year, someone tried to steal it but couldnt due to the factory theft system and the chip in the key. All they ended up doin was causin some damage to the steering column, windows etc... I'd be interested to see how they actually managed to get around all the security features in a caddy. cadillacjeff7777
Well, I had been going out to start it every week and letting it run for a bit...now no one beat me down for this...but I forgot the keys in it so they had no problem starting it. 2008 DTS
BodybyFisher
Keep your eyes open Jeff, try to find something like this one. This was still for sale last week, I drive by it all the time... He dropped his price to $3,800 and it has always been dealer serviced... I'll pick you up from the airport and drop you off at the car! If you want I will go drive it for you and take more photos, Mike http://caddyinfo.ipbhost.com/index.php?sho...1&st=&p=entry Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm
Bill K
Jeff, I know right where you mean on M-57. I remember when "Kurt the Crook" was there. I too leave the keys in my car at home. Old, bad habbits are hard to break. It shouldnt be too hard to replace it when your ready.

We were still on Clay St. in the house/apartment and it was called Alpha Unlimited then. I am trying to look back in the forum to late September / early October but not able to. This caddy I bought off of ebay after a member posted about it's auction on here. 2008 DTS
cadillacjeff7777
Anyway, I can't replace it now or in the near future. I am laid off and can not come close to affording it. Unemployment doesn't pay much. I had to borrow $500 to get the 94 cutlass that I am driving now. 2008 DTS

skipf
I've got a 94 SLS with under 100000 mi I'll let go cheap. Car is in Columbia, SC. Runs great, but smokes bad. Shop said it was a valve oil seal or bad oil scrubber ring. Another said it was the injectors. It has a brand new ac compressor, water pump, thermostat w/ metal housing, plugs & wires, belt, etc. I put $3000 into it before it went toast on me. Everything works except the cruise control. $500 and it's yours.
Dusty95
I'll take it assuming we have the same wiring harness/modules as eachother. Mike or someone else- can you verify this? Where in MI are you located? I'm in Alpena. Very interested, let me know.
Caddynut
If your interested....I am in need of the 3rd brake light if it is still good in your car. Let me know how much. Would really like to see a Caddy fan get this car. It's in beautiful condition except for the smoke problem and a few dings on the hood where a pine limb fell on it in an ice storm. Dusty95
I must have been seeing things. I SWEAR you said "located in mi". I must be goin' crazy.... Yeah that is quite a ways from Michigan, and I found out our modules/harness are different anyway.
