jhall
Anyone got an illustration of the coolant hose routing on the driver's side for an '02 Deville? I've got a small intermittent leak that appears to be somewhere in this area. I have looked - and felt - for the leak without success in the areas around the water manifold, water pump and the accessible hose connections but no luck. I note that it leaks on the garage floor overnight (maybe about 2 ounces worth), but it never leaks when the car is hot. Just added to the coolant reservoir - got a DIC notice last night. It's definately antifreeze, so I'm suspecting a hose connection somewhere under the air filter / PCM location (possibly heading back toward the firewall on the driver's side) needs attention. It looks like hoses are routed into this area. Any help appreciated.

97seville
check the shaft of the water pump...just behind the pulley. My leak started that way....the water pump seal is failing if the shaft is wet.
OynxSTS
I would bet you have a hairline crack in one of the plastic "tanks" on each side of the radiator. I had this occur on my old Ford F150... Really hard to track down... during warm up there wasn't enough pressure to leak... at operating temperature the leak was so small, leaking fluid would evaporate on the fins before it would hit the ground... Only during cool down could you actually form a small puddle... and then only sometimes...
