Bruce Nunnally
If at the bottom left of the page you click on the drop-down list box, you can choose different 'skins' to see the Caddyinfo board through. With Christmas coming up for some of us, I have added a Noelen Skin (Import) courtesy of La Team-FDFR http://fdfr.net http://fdfr.fr You can select IPB 2.1 Default to get the regular default look back. I am looking for a great default skin for the board, so if have skills in that area pls put together one we can use and email it and we can vote on the default. Alternately, we can put up a variety of skins and everyone can pick the one(s) they like? Do they just consist of a bunch of customized graphics and font/color definitions? I've never done a forum skin before, but would love to try to help out. Bruce Nunnally
Bruce, how do these skins work? Do they just consist of a bunch of customized graphics and font/color definitions? I've never done a forum skin before, but would love to try to help out. Each skin ends up as two files, a skinname.gz file and an imagesname.gz file. Where skinname.gz is whatever the name is for the skin, and contains the php files, and the images file is the buttons and other image graphics. I suspect that people use a copy of IPB 2.1.3 and set all the graphics as they like, then export the skin and image files from the board. This site: http://skins.invisionize.com/db/index.php/c/186 has a database of skins and info, but I don't see a tutorial specific to skins.
