skytrain Posted November 29, 2005 Report Share Posted November 29, 2005 recently my blower heater stopped running, checked pulgin with test light positive good,negative good and the middle (i think speed control on heater) wire indicates, when i press the low/hi fan...i loosened the blower or fan cover and the fan seems to turn o.k, also checked fuses under the hood and in the trunk, any others i may have missed?have appt on tuesday for diagnosis @ dealer, need advice or other ideas to check. canadian95sts Posted November 29, 2005 Report Share Posted November 29, 2005 If you have tested the leads to the plug, and you are getting power/ ground ect..., it sounds like the blower motor itself has crapped out. If it was a fuse you would not have power at the plug. Its not a hard job to do yourself, if you review some of the posts here on blower motors, you will find where to get good prices on new units, as well as pretty much step by step instructions on how to replace it yourself. It should be a lot cheaper to do it yourself, as apposed to taking it to the dealer.
