StinkinLincoln
My blower motor just went in my 94 Deville. Does anyone happen to have a spare one or know of somewhere to get a fairly inexpensive one. I would really like to get this thing fixed before winter really hits so I appreciate any help I can get. Thanks in advance guys.
canadian95sts
Are you sure the blower motor has crapped out?, these motors are a common source of problems, if you search the archives you will see what i mean. Connectors are notorious for going bad as well, i am currently in the process of figuring mine out too. Look on ebay if you need a new one, they can be found there fairly cheap. Also try autopartsgiant.com, or gmpartsdirect.com. epricedright
Make sure it's the motor for sure, if it is, this Cadillac dealership from Illinois doesn't have one listed on ebay now, but call them and they will sell you one. Their number is in the ad, ask for Ed and tell him you want the eBay price. I paid $182.00 w/ free shipping a month or so ago. Best price I've seen anywhere. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...AMEWA%3AIT&rd=

StinkinLincoln
Guys I have still been looking and it seems these blower motors are quite expensive for the year range(94-99). I saw the one being sold on ebay for $200 and it was the only one on there. I found a sight where you can get a remanufactured one for $118. Any coments on the quality of these rebuilt blowers. Well also again if anyone knows of anywhere else I would really appreciate it. I was only looking to spend around $50 for it and it just stinks that the era previous to mine(91-93) are so abundant on ebay and I have seen new ones for as cheap as $30. Well again if anyone new comes across this and knows of anywhere I would appreciate any info to help me save a little. Thanks guys!
KHE
Check gmpartsdirect.com or gmotors.com, or rockauto.com for the best prices. Be prepared to spend $175 or so on a new one but the motor is a new design that incorporates a heat shield to protect it from the exhaust heat. epricedright
I just looked at rockauto and it's $248.79 plus shipping there for the AC Delco motor w/ impeller. The caddy dealer on eBay may be your cheapest route for a new Delco. I imagine if you call that caddy dealer on eBay, they might still honor that $182.00 price including shipping...I see they have one listed now for $205.00 with shipping. They may be trying to recoup their loss from the 1st blower motor they sent me that was damaged by UPS, which I had to return. I had a feeling they didn't pay for the extra insurance over their standard $100.00 coverage. Or maybe it's supply and demand being winter is coming on, who knows. Wherever you find one, ask them to double box it for safer shipping as my 1st one had a cracked mounting base. I've seen people selling them on Ebay used, but that sounds kinda risky unless they can guarantee it. If you're looking to only spend $50.00 though, going with a used motor will be your only route...either eBay or maybe try a junk yard. BTW, did you look at ALL your fuses for your motor, including the big ones under the hood. Be sure to look at the wire connector on the motor and check for corrosion there.
