cheifyoda Posted November 15, 2005 Report Share Posted November 15, 2005 hello this is my first time posting, this is a great form. i need help i bought this 91 seville 4.9 . previous owner had it at a shop for over heating. shop said it needed a head gasket. i purchased the car and had heads rebuilt installed with new gaskets and all surfaces machined. problem now, tried to start nothing cranks ok, no start , good fuel pressure , good spark . can pour fuel in trottlebody and will run til fuel is gone. no injector pulse. no codes set. i replced ecm with remanufacter unit same thing. was studying some wire dig and think maybe a hall sensor in the dist is bad please any help with this would be great this has run me in the red but im too far into it to quit money wise. please help thnks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

IF SO WHERE ARE THEY LOCATED?IF BLOWEN WHY WOULD THEY BLOW. PAUL T Posted November 16, 2005 Report Share Posted November 16, 2005 Check the Fuel Pressure Regulator. I had the same problem with my 92 Deville with the 4.9. After I replaced the FPR no problems. The FPR looks like an in-line filter that has a fuel line in one end and a vacuum hose on the other, it is left of the throttle body. Pull the vacuum hose off and turn the key on (engine off) to pressurize the system. If there is gas coming out of the vacuum end, the FPR is bad. Even if gas is not coming out it still may be bad.
