Julio
Yep, got a nice puddle under my Eldo, looking like the radiator is leaking at the seam on the passenger side. Does anyone know how in the heck to get that condenser line bracket off the radiator it must be a special tool cause I can't get anything on it. When I did the time certs I took both out at once now that I gotta to change the radiator I'm thinking violance is the only way to knock to top off of that 7mm PITB. Really looking forward to that job, so what is a good price for a new radiator? wuz talking to some one their response is don't fix it get a new one beacuse the other side is going to go bad and you'll be cussing that 7mm bolt again soon.... Anyone have it done at the dealer? how much did that run maybe it might be worth letting them do it. Thanks! Julio

LOL Got new radiator with trans and oil cooler ports for my STS for 113.00 +15.00 shipping from Performance radiators. Perfect fit, brand new, well packaged. Blocking oil cooler lines?? These engines run really hot, all the cooling you can get you need for longevity." you do not need a dealer for that job. Julio
do you have contact info on performance rad?
jhall
Julio, If you've got the aluminum rad with the plastic end caps, there are shops that have the tool to replace the cap and gasket. If the rad is in good shape it may save you a few bucks to have the cap replaced. I did this on a my '97 Deville rad with very good results. The 7mm screw on the tubing bracket is a PITA. I removed the main brackets holding the condensor coil and the rad to push them to one side slightly and then removed the 7mm screw with an open-end wrench and a few dozen small turns. I didn't bother putting it back in. Don't get too wild or you might damage the tubing or the o-ring connection!
