bc6t
Battery goes dead during a tire fix/rotation (car left in N with lights on for 20 min.). I charge the battery - seams to be holding charge now for 1 week - drawing roughly 14.4 v on DIC. But....my white backup lights are both dead. It seams to coincide with the battery issue. I checked the trunk for water leaks - all is o.k. I could not find any fuses for these lights under the hood, either. My next step is to buy 2 new bulbs - but I doubt that is the problem - they do not both go at the very same instant. Any suggestions on anything I can do to solve problem? I plan to use a voltmeter on the sockets, but I am not sure exactly how to test for this though. Positive lead to center of socket and negative lead to car body? Any help much appreciated. Tom. 67coupedeville
Easiest thing is what you already said, just check it with another bulb. If it isn't a bulb problem, it could be a faulty switch in the shifter itself not making a connection to turn on the bulbs. Easiest thing is to try new bulbs.
