canadian95sts
I just realised it's rememberance day today, so i thought I would post this famous Canadian war poem, maybe you will read it and take a minute to reflect on the freedom we have, that too often gets taken for granted, In Flanders Fields By: Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, MD (1872-1918) Canadian Army IN FLANDERS FIELDS the poppies blow Between the crosses row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below. We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, and now we lie In Flanders fields. Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields. PAUL T
In rememberance of my wife's cousin, Joshua Wilfong. He died in Fallujah, Iraq, April 30, 2004 when a suicide bomber decided to blow his car up beside the humvee he was riding in as his convoy headed back to base. Josh and another soldier Scott Veincent gave their all that day in the war on terror. Joshua was 22 years old. He is sadly missed by his family.
