coolnesss
I got a new windshield, and I don't think the Rainsense works like it used to. I remember that when it is set in the auto/delay position, that it would do the appropriate delay thing, and would also turn the wipers onto the continuous high setting when it rains hard, and onto the continuous low speed when its raining enough to warrant that. Now, it work okay in the delay mode - if it is sprinkling, then it waits an appropriate time between wipes (maybe a little slower than before) - but, it will not go into continuous mode. Is my memory faulty, or is this malfunctioning?
JimD
Several possibilities. Maybe the rain sensor was attached to the new glass with the wrong adhesive. Make sure the glass contractor outfit rectifies this at no charge to you. Using the GM part # adhesive kit is critical. And the glass company should know that fact. I don't know about your Eldo, but the sensitivity of my rainsense is adjusted with the "INT ADJ" knob on the wiper stalk. Jim Drive your car. Use your cell phone. CHOOSE ONE ! The use of the correct GM (only) adhesive is IMPERATIVE. Further it is important the the Rainsense "detector" be placed over a part of the windshield that is "swept" by the windshield blade. For example, some here have reported that their Rainsense stopped working properly when 24" blades were replaced by 22" blades. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as the result of a voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion, or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system involved. - Ludwig von Mises
