I just have queation i need ansewered about my radio. If I set my dsp on the radio, along with the bass, treble, and midrange it will save my memory when I change through songs on the cd setting. It will also save the memory that i set it for when I listen to radio as long as i use the tune seek button to change radio stations. If I set my bass, dsp, treble and midrange settings and change the station either by the button on the steering wheel or on the radio buttons 1-6 it will erase my memory and I have to set it again.

Is this a problem or is this normal for the radio. Any help would be grealty apprecaited on this topic because it gets old reprograming the radio after I change the station everytime.

Hi, I have a '98 STS as well and it does the same thing. Once the DSP settings are set in Radio mode, if I use my presets to change channel, the DSP settings default to Balance, Fader, Treble at neutral and Bass pumped up almost all the way. On CD mode all is well.....

Mine does this all of the time with no exceptions and I am pretty sure it's not suppose to. I even hit the seats memory button after setting the controls to see if this made a difference but no luck. The A/C settings seem to work fine - just the radio.....must be a common bug?

I may be misunderstanding the problem but wanted to make sure you have tried this. I believe the way it works is that each one of your presets can be saved with a different dsp, base, treble, etc. So if you want the settings to stay the same when you use the steering wheel controls you must first set "each" of the presets individually, they do not have to be the same as you may want a different setting for each station.

Good luck.
