jlinde
I have done a lot of things to get my 93 Eldo TC to get rid of its miss or chuggle at cruising speeds. I have changed the PCM to a new one (I don't know if it is an upgraded one or not)-bought 2003 from Cadillac dealer. I have also changed oxy sensors, crank sensors, plugs and cables. I subscribed to ALLDATA to find out some info about upgrades etc.-From their data it is possible to see that the Prom in my car originally had a code BBSX with number 16180915 - now changed to 16195554. Can that new Prom contain new engine and automatic data that will correct some of the earlier problems with smoothness? There is also a description of a Bulletin 93-63 for very early Eldos and Sevilles with: Engine and A/T - Rough, Surge, Harsh shift or DTC P076. I have tried to follow what is said in that bulletin.- Points to a PCM replacement. There is also some writing about code P071 and replacement of PCM. Does anybody know if there is possible to dig deeper into this programming area and to get in contact with GM or Cadillac engineers or just somebody who has the knowledge? /Jan L
