Garage Door Opener

Hey Guys,

Sorry if this has been already discussed, I searched for the info but was unable to find any on it here.

Anyway, I have a 1997 Deville Concours but I cannot get the garage door opener to work on it. I figured I had a rolling code garage opener(Craftsman) so I purchased the Amber lighted garage door remote, but still can't get it programmed.

Any of you know the secret to get these to work? Any help would be appreciated.

Step 1: Press and hold the outer buttons on the transmitter - the amber LED will blink slowly. When it blinks rapidly, the transmitter is cleared.

Step 2: Now take your craftsman transmitter and hold it as close as possible to the Cadillac transmitter. Simuntaneously press and hold the desired button on the Cadillac transmitter and the Craftsman transmitter. When the blink rate of the LED changes, the code has been copied. Repeat step two for other door transmitters.

Thanks Johhny and KHE, I finally got it to work. Whats funny about it is that I had already done that about 3 times and couldn't get it to work.... I guess it is one of those mysteries in life.

Thanks again guys.... biggrin.gif
