GBeZeFromNAPeZe
Ok, I have a 1990 Fleetwood / Deville. I don't have / or want to buy a Factory Service Manual for it because this car has about had it, 250,000 miles, and it's currently just a backup for my ETC. I am going to drive it through this winter but it has no heat at the moment and it's cold here in Indiana. It has serious electrical problems; the Climate Control Unit and the Fuel Gage just say "c". Adjusting the temperature has no effect and the temperature readout just continues to say "c". It is very frustrating. What I need is for someone, with a Factory Service Manual, to look up the color and approximate location of the "TEMPERATURE VALVE ACTUATOR MOTOR DRIVE" wire. Once I can locate this one wire I can apply either + or -12 to rotate the Temperature Valve to expose myself to that sweet sweet heater core! Please help me Gary

Please help me Gary I would just remove the glove box to get access to the airmix door which is operated by so called programmer. You can unsnap the actuator of the door from the programmer's drive, open it wide (90 degrees setting) and snap it back. Does the coolant flow through the heater core? If it does, wide open door will drive you out of the car when you turn the blower on. I personally rarely use blower since the natural flow of the air through the core and vents with 90 degrees setting keeps me warm enough. GBeZeFromNAPeZe
Man, I hope it's as easy as you make it sound. I've been looking around under the dash, never thought about looking behind the glove box. I will report back after I check it out. Thanks, Gary

adallak
Clap yo hands, stomp yo feed, praise the Lord, I gots heat. Thank you very much adallak! No problem. You are lucky your heater core was not plugged. And do not touch the temp. settings on your climate control.
