Dkwebb2727
One of the rear speakers in my '94 SLS makes a sound like's it blown, but only does it occasionally. It seems worse with the radio when it's cold and when I havn't driven the car for several days. It does seem better with the CD player. Do I need a new speaker or do I have another problem? I've also heard you can remove the speaker and have it repaired too. Any advice would be helpful.
jackc
I had that problem in my 83 with the door speaker. It was the individual amp for that speaker. I've also seen others post that the amps are the most likely suspect when this happens.

You can disconnect the damaged one before it smokes (mine did). The harness is by the speaker. The saddest thing in life is wasted talent
