ted tcb
At a glance, the fuel economy looks pessimistic. I would hope that a v6 STS could achieve substantially higher ratings than just 24mpg, highway. Guys on this board with SLS's final drive ratio seem to achieve 30mpg with their v8's. 1989 FWD Fleetwood, Silver 1995 STS Crimson Pearl on Black leather 1997 STS Diamond White 1999 STS Crimson Pearl 2001 STS Silver 2003 STS, Crimson Pearl
Bruce Nunnally
Remember it's an average prediction. On their actual tests, see http://www.epa.gov/fueleconomy/data.htm , the EPA got 18.8-19.8 mpg city and 30.9-31.9 mpg highway with a V6 STS. Then they factor these values down to the EPA MPG estimates. For comparison amoung different cars though, the STS V6 Auto5 will often get worse mileage than the SLS V8 Auto4 still seems a fair statement. But actual steady state highway mpg for the STS V6 will likely be much better than 24 mpg, which is more similar to the reports we get form drivers. AS interesting to me is if you download the spreadsheet data, Cadillac reported: CTS Auto5 3.6L v6 252 hp CTS Manual6 3.6L V6 255 hp STS Auto5 3.6L v6 254 hp STS Auto5 4.6L v8 315 hp CTS Auto5 2.8L V6 209 hp Bruce 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Follow me on: Twitter Instagram Youtube
