1994 Seville SLS

I know that there is a survey on MPG. It comes no where close to what my actual milage is.

I just did a round trip from LA to Phoenix yesterday. About 5 hours each way

LA (Victorville) to Phoenix

Average Speed 76.4 mph

Mileage 30.2 mpg

Return trip

Rhoenix to LA (Victorville)

Average Speed 72.6 mph

Mileage 29.4

General overall long term average mixed driving----between 26 and 27mpg.

I drive from LA (Victorville) to Las Vegas a lot.

I almost always get 30 + mpg. On one trip I averaged 32.2 mpg. I must have had a tail wind.

Is there something wrong with my car.

Only modification, I run a tire pressure of 36 psi.

Good Mileage! No one believes me when I tell them I get good gas mileage

I was in Victorville once, it was about 100 during the day and it dropped to about 35 at night, I went out to dinner and froze to death. Had dinner in a western bar that was kind of rough place as it got late and the band started playing..

Victorville was in the high-desert I think.. I was working on 2,000 acres of land when I was there. Scottsdale however is my favorite place, stayed in the Phoenician the last time we were there, beautiful.

Vince, that's what you can expect with an SLS, or most any Northstar with the 3.11 final drive like ours has. I routinely get 28-30 on the road. For this last tank of in-town driving, on 89 octane, I'm getting 20.2 mpg...which is fantastic for city driving.

The best mileage I ever got was about 31 mpg, coming from North Carolina to Virginia.
