BuickLeSabre1960
My Dad said the Caddy was shuddering a little under braking so I took off the front wheels and the rotors have grooves worn all in them, plus the pads were pushing on the rotor. What could this be?
bigjayzway
Sound like a caliper problem. Have you serviced the calipers lately? Big Jay Life is too short to grow up!
JimD
My Dad said the Caddy was shuddering a little under braking so I took off the front wheels and the rotors have grooves worn all in them, plus the pads were pushing on the rotor. What could this be? Many causes for grooves.... But the pads not floating off the rotor is almost always dirty, bent, corroded caliper locating pins - or - corroded caliper pistons and bores. Whatever other pieces you cleanup / refinish or replace, be certain the calipers and the locating pins are in good condition. And flush all the fluid out of the entire brake plumbing system with fresh brake fluid. Jim Drive your car. Use your cell phone. CHOOSE ONE !
