sal.carceller@cox.net
I have a 93 Seville and I have the left side of my rear 3rd brake light out. I have factory manuals and see that the wiring diagram shows only 2 wires to this unit. I also see that it shows the lights within the bar as LEDs. If the left side is out can it be repaired? is the wiring diagram correct only 2 wires (ground and 12V+)? Did not take apart yet just thought i'd ask before I proceed. As always thanks. Logan
Ummm.....they dont come apart. You will destroy the lamp trying. New these lamps are $450+ @ Cadillac. Silicone wont work. These lamp are like long tubes. They sit in the sun and pressure will build up inside to the point of blowing out the silicone....then water leak....refailure. I attached a picture of a attempted repair... Go ahead and try if you want. We wont take it as a core.
