questions about cadillac

Recommended Posts

I got to ask a couple questions concerning Cadillacs now and future models, so instead of making separate posts ill just ask it all in one.

Dose DTS/STS still mean Deville/Seville Touring Sedan on the newer caddys?

Whats Dose CTS Stand for? Catera Touring Sedan, Cadillac Touring Sedan or what?

I was Driving and i noticed a CTS with the letters VTXI, What is it, I never seen it at any of the 3 cadillac Dealerships around me?

Do You think that cadillac will bring the Eldorado back as the "ETC" in the next couple of years with the retro feel? (I Would Really love to see that) Just imagine ETC-V! enough Said :D

What ever happened with the BLS or whatever that thing was called? is it still coming out?

sorry for all the questions

John

I think right now Cadillac just uses CTS, DTS, STS to mean CTS, DTS, STS.

For example, you can get a CTS with a sport option package that is equivalent to what the touring sedan concept was. But with or without the sport package, a CTS is a CTS.

C-class touring sedan was mentioned along the way for the meaning of CTS. As in Mercedes' C class cars.

VTXI is an aftermarket customization package for the CTS by Vogue.

Vogue VTXi Package includes Body Kit/Emblems, 16, 17 or 18-inch Vogue Tyres and Wheels, Rear Wing and Wood Dash Kit. Options include Custom Grille, Fog Light Covers and Chrome Exhaust Tips.

Don't think we'll see the ETC in the near future.

The BLS is a future probably European only model planned as a smaller car than the CTS, probably similar to the Saab 9-3 as it is based on that car.

B might refer to that size of car, with A size being a micro car.

Ahh, thanks. I always wondered what those were. I've seen a few, and they looked "mass marketed" rather than one-off customizations, but I never knew who did 'em.

They originally wanted to call the new car the ATS after the AZTEC Touring Sedan, but that didn't sound right. So they thought, well maybe B(S)TS would work, but that was canned for obvious reasons. So the next letter in line was a "C" and it stuck. :D

Never underestimate the amount of a persons greed.
