jlinde
Hi, I have earlier written about a slight chuggle or miss for my 93 Eldo TC. I has 46000 miles on it and has for the 2 years I have owned it had some kind of light missing when cruising - never on acceleration (not noticed anyhow). I have no error codes from PCM. I have done the EGR check = very clean down to the intake valves, changed the plugs, wires, ignition module, oxy sensors, ECM (16180517= reman from dealer in Florida). The chuggle is most evident just after WOT or passing just as if the computer is searching for the optimal combustion again - then after driving a couple of miles it smoothes out. Bbobynski said earlier that I probably have to live with the beast but I will not give up. I do not know if there is a newer program with another ECM or are all the values for mixture set up in the prom. On Ebay there are a lot of Cad ECM's for sale - for instance they say there that certain ECM's can be used from 93-95 but when I go to Carparts.com they specify different ECM's. Does anyone have the information for ECM's and PROM's - which can be used for certain years and maybe also running updates like: Can a 94 ETC ECM and PROM be used in a 93 - maybe containing a better program -or can I get an update from a dealer somehow. I have not been able to find that info. I am thinking of using the little chip that tells the ECM that the engine is cold all the time -adding some extra gas- sold on Ebay. Does anybody know if that thing works at all. /Jan Linderholm

"Do you really want to use more gas, when the prices are so high?" Well if you do try it, make sure to let us know how it works? Big Jay Life is too short to grow up!
