I wouldn't jump to that conclusion. (It's a really broad claim..) Turn the ignition key to on, then push and hold the off and warmer buttons on the climate control at the same time. When it 'blinks', let go of the buttons, and be ready to write down any n diagnostic codes that may read out. "H" for history, and "C" for current. Post them back here on the board, and we'll see what's up. The check engine light may be as simple as an O2 sensor.. '93 STS.. opened, dropped, wide...fast. Oldgamer Posted August 15, 2005 Report Share Posted August 15, 2005 Probably your mechanic has extra ECM, which was pooled off from other car and apparently appears fine As Bob D and adallak notice there can be a thousand of reasons to have this light.
