Oldgamer
I never thought that I can lose bolt from transmission. Now I'm ready to put everything back (not much, just control assembly) and realized that I'm short for one bolt. What a stupidity!
OynxSTS
Should be OK as long as you didn't loose it IN the transmission. Easin' down the highway in a new Cadillac, I had a fine fox in front, I had three more in the back ZZTOP, I'm Bad I'm Nationwide Greg

Oldgamer
Happens all the time... Does the mother-in-low have access to the garage? I was doing this so slow. I even copied manual pages to keep manual clean when I work. The most hard was to keep everything clean, not to unscrew/screw. Used a lot of paper and cloth. And just didn't know where evil is waiting for my wrong move.
67coupedeville
Everything I work on is related to Houdini. I was workin on my buddy's old Yamaha snowmobile. Four nuts to put the motor mount back on the bottom, I rinse them off and four washers, blow dry them with air, get back to the work bench and a nut is missing. I tried both another metric and standard nut and niether will fit, checked the floor...solvent tank...gonezo! Taa daaaa! "Pulled another Houdini." Scotty
I know its too late now but I just bought one of these considering that I work on my back usually, it comes in handy working on the top of the engine also as it sticks anywhere, I used it when I did my AC system http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/product.do?...pid=00941328000

WarrenJ
Only happens to me with socks. Dunno yet whether the "Houdini" action takes place in the washer or the dryer. Regards, Warren There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as the result of a voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion, or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system involved. - Ludwig von Mises
TDK
Oldgamer, You don't have a "buddy" who thinks he's real funny by swiping one bolt do you - or just as bad - adding a couple more to the pile? <_< Good luck Add power to leave problems behind. Most braking is just - poor planning.

Oldgamer
The guy from auto shop gave me one, but it has bad sert and I hesitate to use it. Dealerships - I try to avoid them. I remember, a week ago I went to see how Gibraltar Transmissions looks like (just in case if I need them). On a way back I pass Cadillac dealer and thought "May be I will ask them about my transmission too", but when I got closer I felt this "big $$$ smell" in the air and I was not so sure I want to do that. Thanks god mechanics were on lunch possible (cars were on lifts, nobody were around) and office door was closed.
