I was tempted to pull the trigger on a xlr they had a nice 04 used XLR at a good price for that model but it was black and mine is black so I didn't want another black car.I have seen them done in a 2 tone paint scheme with a silver top that was real sharp the way it was done it made the whole car look much better than the original paint scheme..

Yesterday while putting the windows up the LR widow regulator let go and made a very loud snap it almost sounded like someone threw a rock at the window.. Now the window is down I had to slide it up by hand lucky there was about an inch to grab to slide it up.I also had switches on the dash replaced that they had to pull the dash top off & part of the inst. cluster trim to get at the switch. All in all I was out of the shop in under 2 hrs. I figured i would wait instead of going back with a rental car actually it was shorter than comming and going. Any car that I have ever owned has always had to have a window regulator replaced some time during my ownership..Go figure..

Its those great plastics they use in the window regulators....

Crappy stuff in my opion on a $40k car....

6 months ago had a window simply drop down on the rear passenger side. Bang! $3-400 bucks for the part at Cadillac....Hmmm...i've got this great plastic stuff here that fixed it. $1 and my time.

The mechanic told me they were cheap I didn't actually see the old regulator. I was about 4 stalls over BSing and watching the heavy mechanic do a piston job..I needed away to pass the time.. I don't like to go over and watch the mechanic who is doing work on mine unlees i know them pretty well..Great you could repair yours..beats buying the part.. Mine really made a VERY loud crack when it let go..
