I'm sure there are some high quality aftermarket parts out there, but the general thought here from people who have tried aftermarket intake parts is they don't do much.

Search the forum for "air filter" or "intake" or "k&n" or something like that, and you'll probably find a lot of advice against it. There may not be any harm in doing it, but it also may not get you the performance you're looking for, for the dollar.

A new set of mufflers would probably make a bigger difference than just an intake. If you want the "most" benefit from bolt-on parts, do an intake AND mufflers. But even then, you may not see a lot of gain. Only a dynomometer or track testing will provide objective results as to whether the mods worked from a performance sense.
