exhaust system hangers, shock mounts, etc.

i noticed my right muffler hanging a little low and boy was i suprised when i craweled up under the car! does anyone know where i can purchase a kit for my exhaust? my rubber mounts are completely trashed and one of the welded mounts has also seperated from the pipe. i put in a request with gmotors.com and i'm still waiting on a reply. would a Meineke, Midas or someone similar have these parts on hand? i'm headed south on tuesday so i've gotta get this done tomorrow.

(i'm embarrassed to say, but i have a clothes hanger supporting it right now...but i made SURE that it is not visible!)

You can get the donut style rubber hangers (they mount right behind the cat) just about anywhere from Advance, Napa, Pepboys, etc. And they are very inexpensive. The more substantial oval rubber hangers that mount near the mufflers I was able to find at Advance Auto but Napa might have them as well. Pepboys didn't have anything close. When I bought the replacements I thought I had the wrong ones because they were a bit smaller. The old ones had just stretched way out.

As far as that welded mount seperating..... I would take that to your favorite muffler shop and have them weld it back. That should be a no brainer fix for them and around here it would cost about $30.

One suggestion: You might want to use a medium to large pry bar to push back the mount plates for the muffler hangers (the ones attached to the body not the pipe). I notice you have a 93STS. Due to the age of my 94 mine had sagged a bit so that the tail pipes were hanging a little low.
