addison_ii
Okay here it goes. I see that a few people live in the area. I have recently relocated to the Twin City Metro area. Being so, I am just wondering if anybody who lives nearby, or who would like to make the drive, would like to have a mini meet in the near future. If so, list dates, times, and possible locations. Hopefully if enough people are up for this idea, we can get this party started and have ourselves a grand ole time. Some dates that come to mind are Oct1st, 2nd, 8th, 9th, and so on. So everyone pick a good date for you and see which is the most popular as that will be the date of the meet. As for activities, I'm up for some grilling, cruising, card playing, any sport( just in case a few of you want to get on the court). I will be looking for a location that can accomodate a nice size crowd and some off street parking. If anybody has a place in mind, post it, and I'll go and check it out. I'm looking forward to any suggestions and hopefully getting to meet all of you soon. I will post any updates regarding the meet. You can also stay updated by checking here as well. http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47798 Addison_II
canadian95sts
Soundsw like a fun idea, would enjoy meeting up with some of the members here and meeting face to face, seein their rides and all that, too bad it's not closer to your neighbour to the north, EH! Matt A good friend will come and bail you out of jail...BUT, a true friend will be sitting next to you saying, "darn...that was fun!" www.madd.ca
addison_ii
Geez sorry you can't make it. Or if you do I've got directions for you http://www.mapquest.com/directions/main.ad...0&2y=CA&rsres=1. Naw just kidding. Mapquest says it takes 14 hours and is almost 900 miles away. You are closer(within 200 miles) to my hometown in Michigan.
bigjayzway
Never say never.....canadian95sts, and I have been known to just go for a drive, and end up 20 hours away! Last time we said we were going for a cruise, we ended up in Myrtle Beach SC. So you never know?? Big Jay Life is too short to grow up!
addison_ii
BigJay if you guys do decide to come on down I know I would really appreciate the support and the other guys/gals more than likely would agree with me. If you are thinking about coming over to chill with us then here is the latest update: From the thread on CadillacForums Alright how about Como Park in St. Paul? You can view some of the things the park has to offer here: http://www.ci.stpaul.mn.us/depts/pa...html#picnicinfo. As for the date let's go with with October 15th (a saturday)at 2pm sign-in starts. I have posted this topic on Caddy Info as well. I will scout Como Park this upcoming week to make sure there will be enough parking and to apply for any permits that may be needed. Let know how many people that will be attending in your party and if this date and time is good for you. Either reply here or contact me at Addison_II(at)hotmail.com. As for cruising routes I don't know any yet but I suspect we would want one that would give us maximum exposure. So I will be waiting for responses from everyone and hope to see you all soon. Addison_II Hopefully we can get this started off right and turn it into an annual event. I was also thinking about making up T-shirts and hats for meet but that might be a personal preference thing. But let me know if you and Canadian95sts are seriously considering this.
bigjayzway
October 15th is close to my anniversary(the21st), so I could use that as a good excuse to go for a nice long drive! I am seriousy up for it, as long as my wife is better by then, she is pretty messed up from the accident. She wrote off her D'Elegance last week, and now she is having some neck and back issues. I will talk to Matt(canadian 95sts) too, and see if he will come too! I would have to say I am 100% if my wife is ok. Big Jay Life is too short to grow up! Well hopefully everything will be ok and you all can come down. Remember to keep checking the link to stay updated on progress and keep me updated on whether you, wife, and Canadian95sts will be able to make it. Remember if you know any members who would like to come down then just refer them to this thread. Thanks.

addison_ii
All right everyone, the date is set at October 15th, 2005. The beginning time will be at 1:00 pm. I need everyone who is definitely going to attend, to post a reply containing how many guests you are bringing with you. You can post the info on this thread or send me an email to addison_ii(at)hotmail.com. Also, I will be renting either the Como Shelter or the Como Midway Pavillion and that is why I need to get a head count. You can view both venues here: http://www.ci.stpaul.mn.us/depts/pa...como-rates.html As the date gets closer more info regarding weather, new locations(if weather doesn't permit us to be outside), and cruising route will be posted(this can be amended as necessary if we want to "open up" the Caddys ).Activities will/can be cookout, b-ball, football, tennis, kite flying(whatever). I am on CaddyInfo.com almost everyday so feel free to post any suggestions you may have, as I will post a reply if not immediately, then within 24 hours. So far I have been getting a lot of emails about members volunteering as needed and members offering their expertise. I would like to tell of you Thank You!! Your help is appreciated and very much needed. With all of us working together this meet will be a success. Currently we have members coming from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, as well as our "neighbor to the north" Canada. I will be sending everyone either an email or PM with the final details. So clear your inboxes/PM boxes. Remember all suggestions are welcome. If you would like to talk me directly, send me a PM or email and I will provide my home number to you. Hoping to see you all at the meet. Addison_II

I have made plans for outdoor and indoor accomodations if we get rain or other bad weather. Looking forward to seeing anyone who's nearby or willing to make the hike to MN(BigJay/Canadain95STS). See you all soon. Addison_II

addison_ii
oct. 15? better pack your parka's. you never know about MN weather. I used to live in St.Paul but moved to a western suburb yrs ago. I work in Blaine which is the future home of the vikings. woohoo! I was thinking about the unpredictability of MN weather and that's why I arranged for indoor accomodations. Didn't want everyone scrambling for their Caddys in a thunderstorm. That would be plain rude so are you(joeb) going to be in attendance??
