Passive Struts 93 STS

Recommended Posts

Well, I'll bet you're going to hear from members that have used both Arnott, and Boston. I for one have converted to Arnott, using thier kit on all four corners of my STS. I've been very impressed with thier performance for a year and a half, or 10,000+ miles of 'spirited' driving up here in the hills... ;)

I noticed that your car is lowered. What's that like and where do the springs come from. How does that changed the strut install?

Yes, it is, about 1.5". I used the Eibach "Pro" series. It doesn't affect the rear or front shock/strutt installation at all. It does stiffen the ride a bit (the springs). It's not as 'cushy' as it's former self, but I anticipated that.. ;)

I replaced the shocks and struts on my 93 STS. Very nice ride now.

The Arnott shock/strut are passive (no internal electrical valves).

The shock/strut will plug in to the existing electrical connections and keep the computer happy.

Below is a Power Point Slidesow I made when I replaced the shocks, I didn't document the struts replacement though.
