How Goes The Summer?

Cupillac

Since the summer is half over :( !

Just wondering how its going for everyone?

Congratulations Jadcock on the baby!

Nothing but fun times here, been to the cottage many times, golfing, enjoying some beer and of course cruising in the Cadillac.

The paint job I had done earlier looks fantastic even though there is tiny spots of tree sap EVERYWHERE!!!! and washed the car today, I think a piece of dirt was in my wash mitt because now I have a hideous scratch on the roof!

Other than that and a broken lid for my cup holder, the Caddys running excellant.

Enjoy the final summer month

Cheers!

Taking a big breather...just got back yesterday from San Diego. Son #1 was married this weekend in La Jolla. That's two weddings in a row! Son #2 was married last July, locally here in El Dorado county. On top of this, son #4 announces his engagement about two weeks ago..Arrrgggg!!....He said "Don't worry dad, we're going to graduate from college first." (That's in about two years)..whew..

Son #3 has no intentions of getting married anytime soon..(much to his sweetie's dismay, I think.) He just graduated form college and seems quite happy just starting a career...

Dad's been coaching them all..."Don't even think about kids, until you're at least thirty." Take it from the 'old man':"take some time get all the other things out of the way....fun, career, fun, houses, fun, traveling, fun, cars, fun, fun, fun."

Did I say have fun? Then have kids...:lol:;)

The summer is gooood, but HOT. ( Bob, great advise for the kids ) Every year I get older the summers get harder to take with the heat. I get out in the heat on the mountain bike and peddal my way up to 8 and 12 miles a few times a week after work and on the weekends. That kind of makes it a little better at work ware it's so very hot in my shop. I just keep telling myself that if I can ride in the sun, I can work in my shop out of the sun. I'm in and out a lot though, some machines do not fit inside so it's hard spinning wrenches in the sun. No AC at work. I'm thankfull my shop is mine and I do not have to share it with any of the other mechanics, so my fans are mine and that helps a bit. My shop is about 30' by 40' big and it cooks. The car has made it a good summer. I'm a cold weather person though. My good times kick in during the fall season, then I have some real "summer" fun. ( driving in the mountains, my favorite ) In a way I'm glad my car problems happened before the heat of the summer. Time is going fast!! This coming Monday will make it the first week of The Dog Days of Summer gone, and only 3 weeks of August left. Yippie.... Told ya, I like it cold. No matter how and what ya like to do during the summer, enjoy it guys . Take care. Later

TOO HOT!

I don't know if I can take it anymore?

I can't handle this heat.

My summer has been not too bad.

My wife was just in a bad accident, and wrote off her D'Elegance-she is okay!

I am going on 4 years now without work(hit by a drunk driver and unable to work) and it is driving me insane.

My kids don't go outside(son 9, daughter 7) cause it is too hot, so I am occupied.

My wife works like a horse, and I hardly see her.

I guess my summer is okay???

Big Jay :blink::huh:

Summer is going well, just working like crazy...been so busy I haven't been able to give the caddy a bath in over THREE WEEKS. She looks so pitiful. I think I'll have time to wash her tomorrow night though :D

HAVE A SAFE REST OF THE SUMMER GUYS!

Crappy

??? :(

Should we ask?

Put it this way, my job has me talking to myself....

Why didn't I follow my heart after working in the banking environment for a year after college. When I walked into a Cadillac dealership in Queens to see what it took to become a first-class mechanic...... Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda :(
