86caddygirl
Need some input. Just got an 86 Cadillac Eldorado, which had been sitting for about a year, that needed a new intake manifold gasket. Ran great except for that. My boyfriend replaced the gasket, ended up adjusting the timing and the car ran perfect for about an hour and then it completly died. It was the module in the distributor, so we replace that and got it running again. Ran it in the driveway for a while, shut it off, and the next morning the car would crank but not start. We had spark, so we went with maybe a fuel issue. The gas had been sitting in the tank for almost a year and it was brown. He replaced the fuel filter and the fuel pump. No change. We are completely stumped. Also, can't get no codes because the information center reads only repair engine soon, refer to owners manual. If someone out there could shed some light on this, we are willing to try anything at this point. Thanks
Ranger
Try spraying some fresh gas down the TB while you crank it and see if it starts. Shot in the dark but worth a try.
