Chrome Rims On A '94 Sts

Hey there guys... Trying to determine what rims to put on the black '94 STS. Currently the stock alloys are on there (yuck) so looking to upgrade.

I'm thinking about the 2005 chrome CTS, my dad wants the same '98 chrome rims as on my mom's caddy.

If anyone can take some good pics of their '94-97 STS/SLS' with nice cadillac rims for me to help determine which to go with, i would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks :)

BTW, anyone know any good places in Canada (GTA) to get OEM caddy rims from?

Was looking at cardio-doc and some ebay sites but would prefer someone who ships from CA.

Here's a pic of my Vogue Corona rims from Cario Doc.

They're unique on a 97 STS, and gather strong compliments from strangers.

Searched everywhere in Toronto, then went with Doc ... his shipping was cheap, the dollar exchange is pretty good, and customs only charged about $50 .... oh yeah, they ran about $500 USD, with a bit of pitting .... new are well over $2000 USD.

Good luck, and show us the after pics.

I know its not a Seville, but I got my rims from eBay for $250 !! They are perfect 97' Deville Concourse rims and the chrome is in excellent shape. You can really find sum good deals, just do a broad search and you can find a listing that is put in the wrong category, to where noone ever sees it. I also bought the center caps for $50 with the gold Vogue wreaths in the centers. Be patient and you will come up on something good...

Sorry they are not really chrome but these are the polished aluminum CTS rims. Got them off ebay for $375 US shipped, then picked them up from the states (they wouldnt ship to Canada, plus I saved customs fees).

I didnt have any luck finding anything in Canada and I looked in GTA, London, and Windsor areas.

Sevillests, what size tires are on your wheels?

They look nice.

I am debating on getting 18's or 17's and trying to find out what tire size look good on certian size rim.

Peace..

I got my CTS 17s from Cardio-doc, although I had them shipped to a friend in Detroit, and crossed to pick them up.

These aren't chrome either, but polished aluminum. In the sunlight they have a very nice glow to them.

The tires are stodgy 225/60R17 Michelins, but they were brand new at the time (coming off of my Dad's new DTS), and how can you no to "Free"!

I would like to wrap them with a nice wide 255 tread when these ones wear out...

I'm partial to the 96-97 SLS wheels. These were available both in silver and chrome. I love the chrome versions. They're 9-spoke, and relatively uncommon.

Ted, yeah they're very similar! Something funny on the way home today...as soon as I said how relatively uncommon the SLS wheels are (only found on SLS, only on 96/97), I seen them on a 97-99 Deville at a gas station. They looked good too! Those Vogues are very close...9 spokes even.

Yeah Jason and I may butt heads on the subject of traction control but I always give him mad props on that shine. Forget the sunglasses, where's the welding mask? :D

Jason.

That is some cool background shots too.

I really like the layout.

I second on the welding mask!

That is Alta Mons campground in Elliston, VA. Alta Mons is run by the methodist church. Great scenery there. Southwest Virginia is one of the most beautiful parts of the country. My wife's family is from there, so we get back quite often. I'd love to retire there.

Shine is Super Glaze from The Wax Shop. No, I don't work for them, but proudly recommend their products. :) It's seen Super Glaze ever since it came into the family at 44k miles.

yeah Jason - your car is crazy clean. As I recall it has higher miles too. Dude - who's better than you? ;)

Kudos

It has almost 146,000 miles. I do my best to keep it clean. I just waxed it yesterday. When you get down real close on the paint, you can tell it's 8 years old, but the Super Glaze keeps it looking like glass.

I have two big annoyances with the car (that show the age). The windshield is rather pitted, and the front strut mounts need replacing. All the struts are still original, and I'm still happy with the ride, but I'd go ahead and put a Boston kit on it if I did anything. No money at the moment on account of the newborn, but in time, I'll get all those quirks worked out. This car has been extremely reliable, and I couldn't have asked for a more solid vehicle from a used car.
