bigjayzway
Well here I go again. My wife ran her Deville off the road this morning! She went to pass, and a truck turned right in front of her! She is fine, but the car I am afraid will be scrapped! She flew over a 4 foot ditch, and then slid sideways through a soy bean field! I am just waiting to hear if they are going to scrap it now. WarrenJ
Yes, what Scotty said . . . . Regards, Warren P.S. I'm assumming he's speaking of the wife . . . . (Devil made me say it!). There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as the result of a voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion, or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system involved. - Ludwig von Mises

Big Jay I know how you feel. I almost cried when they totalled my Allante... But I would never argue a borderline case with an insurance company... If they think it might be a total, let them total it... The car will never be the same. There are lots of low mile accident free Caddies out there I know they are part of the family, but cars are easy to replace... Significant others.. not so.. Be happy she had 4000+lbs of Detriot steel, glass and leather protecting her! Easin' down the highway in a new Cadillac, I had a fine fox in front, I had three more in the back ZZTOP, I'm Bad I'm Nationwide Greg
canadian95sts
Jay, At least she's not hurt, thats the main thing, saw the car tonight as best i could from the fence, looks pretty bad, thankfully she was driving a nice solid caddy, the old car would have been much worse off. I imagine she might be a little sore in the morning, looked like quite the ride! That said, when are we goin to look for another caddy for her! First your old car, then mine, now yours, then my........Uh-Oh dont like the way this pattern is turning out. Matt A good friend will come and bail you out of jail...BUT, a true friend will be sitting next to you saying, "darn...that was fun!" www.madd.ca
Scotty
I am glad she is ok Yes, I was reacting to, "She is fine". This sounded serious >> "She flew over a 4 foot ditch, and then slid sideways through a soy bean field".
TDK
Too baf, but good that your wife is OK. Yea the Caddy did its last trick for her, like a faithful hound. Now then, Maybe the soybean farmer will buy it where it sits? Change the front tires to mud/snows, add a 3-point hitch for implements and he will have the best dang tractor GM can make. Again sorry, but when all is considered - it could have been a lot worse... Good Luck Add power to leave problems behind. Most braking is just - poor planning. Ed Hall
Is that all the damage there is due to hitting the truck? It really doesn't look that bad and should be able to be fixed. Did the airbags go off?
Ranger
That doesn't look like enough damage to total it to my untrained eye.
Matt
It's hard to take I know. We take the good with the bad all the time. It's very good your wife is ok. You will get through this together, that's the key word here- "Together".
bigjayzway
THAT IS JUST THE FRONT....THE REAR WHEELS ARE ALMOST FACING EACH OTHER! The front pass. side wheel is all bent, and the rear bumper is gone! There is a lot more underneath as well. Big Jay Life is too short to grow up!
