Norton1
Well the old beater went over 150,000 miles yesterday. 150,170 to be exact. I zeroed everything out at 140,000 just to see how well the car would do with driving conditions and mileage. By the on dash system I am at 26.5 mpg. In reality I think that 26 is much closer. At least my random fuel checks by mileage and actual gasoline used places it closer to the 26 range. My average speed was around 51 mph. Odd how 70 miles at 65 mph and then a slow crawl through the main gate knocks the speed average down by nearly 20 mph. Of course come of that was town and around base. Still - it doesn't take much to knock it down. I'm hoping for another 50,000 out of the old bird. We'll see what the Good Lord has in store! One more payment and it's paid off so if anything is to die on it this would be the time! But it continues to run well and the noises it makes don't seem to be frightening at this time. The tranny was new 50,000 miles ago do you think I should have the fluid and filter changed on it? Anyway - have a perfectly lovely day! Regis
Congratulations on hitting the one five O Steve. With regular maintenance the next 50 should be a breeze. Once again congrats!
