Bruce Nunnally
Taken from the Help button to the top right; I think this is what you mean? Your control panel is your own private board console. You can change how the board looks and feels as well as your own information from here. Edit Avatar Settings An avatar is a little image that appears under your username when you view a topic or post you authored. If the administrator allows, you may either choose from the board gallery, enter a URL to an avatar stored on your server or upload an avatar to use. You may also set the width of the avatar to ensure that it's sized in proportion. bigmutt
I have spent hours trying to upload a photo, but keep getting message that "You are not allowed to upload that type of file as an avatar or personal photo" I've tried jpg, png, and gif files, and I get the same error message. My file size is 34 kb, but the Image Scale is "On" so it should scale it down to whatever it needs, no? Why is this so difficult to do? I upload photos to similar sites with no problems. thanks Rick "My worst day riding, is better than my best day working."
Bruce Nunnally
On the page where you load/change your avatar there is this note: Your avatar must be no bigger than 64 pixels by 64 pixels in size. Uploaded avatars from your computer must be no larger than 20 KB. The following file types are allowed: gif .jpeg .jpg .swf .png so I'd guess the 34KB file size is the problem. I have not tryed the scaling option myself, but sounds interesting. Try shrinking/compressing your image to the guidelines above and see if that helps.
