adallak
I do not know if this can help... I would disconnect both battery cables and connect them together for a minute or so. The saddest thing in life is wasted talent

navion
I have had the same thing happen on my 94SLS. AS I was in a hurry & I knew that the tank was full, I just charged the battery some, jumped it & drove. As I was driving, the fuel range started counting up. Within 10 miles, everything was back to normal. PS: If your battery was totally dead, it would be best if you charged it for a few hours before driving the car very much. Bringing a battery back from a completely discharged condition will tend to shorten the alternator life. Have a good trip. Britt Britt
WarrenJ
You should be able to run your radio for an awful long time without depleting the battery. Get that puppy load tested. You may be in need of a new battery. Regards, Warren There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. WarrenJ
Possibly he is running one of those gazillion watt amplifiers. Britt But then he would have taken note that he had "accidently" left it on! So would his neighbors. Regards, Warren EDIT: Navion, you're likely correct about it being aftermarket. You CAN'T "accidently" leave the radio on in a stock Caddy. Poor installation? There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion.
