daddyj
This 1993 Sedan DeVille is going pretty good after sitting up for 3 years in the weather. I got all the codes straightened out, fixed, spliced, painted and taped the wires that the rats got into. Now I'm getting a code 31 for a shorted MAP sensor signal. I think, but am not sure, I know which is the map sensor but I'm not totally up on automotive electronics....so, please, someone tell me where the MAP sensor is so I can look for a short in the circuit.... Ranger
I believe it is inside the intake manifold. Someone will correct me if I am wrong.
Scotty
This is a 4.9 in a 93 Deville, here is the MAP sensor location Early on sailors navigated by the stars at night and the North star became the symbol for finding ones way home. Once you know where the Northstar is you can point your ship in the right direction to get home. So the star became a symbol for finding ones way home or more symbolically even finding ones path in life.

I was thinking '93 Seville (4.6), I stand corrected. Sorry. Thanks for the correction Mike.
davedog
i have a pic of my previous caddy's engine bay (87 deville), I know it's not the same engine, but I think the MAP sensor will be in the same general area.....just though it might help....sorry if it's more confusing. the map sensor is the little black device on the firewall that you can see a red colored plug attached to: Crystal Red Tintcoat Exterior | Shale/Brownstone Interior | 32k
