bschelle
I am going to replace my right rear knuckle this weekend. I have the Caddy manuals but I am looking for any advice from anyone who has also done this repair.
caddypete
Just did both of mine on a 2000 eldo, it wasn't bad at all. had both sides done in about 3 1/2 hrs. Knocking the sensor out of the back of the knuckle was the most time consuming. I used a air chisel to get it knocked free
bschelle
Did it last night. Took about 3 hours. Had to heat the bolts that mount the bearing assy to the knuckle. The bearing and speed sensor were not a press fit but were rusted in solid. I had to destroy the assy to get it out of the knuckle so I could use the splash guard plate on the new knuckle. I had a bearing assy. sitting on the shelf thinking it was the cause of my vibration. The old bearing was in great shape otherwise. There is probably a way to take the bearing and knuckle apart without destroying it but I just used a BFG and a chisel. No more vibration or wheel hop!!
