paran0id
Im surprised no one has commented on this post yet. I thought this article was very interesting not just the stuff about the concept engine, but about the northstar in general. I got a lot of information that I hadnt read yet in any FAQ's. *It got me to wonder more about the OVERRIDES and specifically if there is a complete list available anywhere that goes over in detail what all the overrides and values are for my car? (97 Deville). *Sorry but I didnt know if I should start a new thread! Thanks!
MAC
paran0id, GM Service Manuals contain PCM Override instructions. "The PCM Override feature allows testing of certain system functions regardless of normal program functions", including testing for defective fuel injector(s), and overriding the "command state" of the TCC solenoid, etc. ('94 GM Service Manual, p. 6E-A-19).
