jhall
Hi guys, Getting ready to drop the N* back in my '97 Deville and I have a crazy question - what's the engine and transmission weight (with oil in both)? The engine hoist that I borrowed from work has new wheels on it and I have some concern that they did not replace the old wheels with new ones having a high enough capacity. I'd hate to dump the engine on the concrete after all the work. Any help would be appreciated.

jhall
MAC, Thanks for the help! Looks like the hoist wheels will handle the weight.
jhall
MAC BTW, that's a 4T80E which brings the total weight to about 800 pounds. Everything should be OK with the hoist though.
