JimD
It is doable on ramps if you jack the LH side another 6" higher. Nasty job and you must pay attention to the routing. The fittings on the steering rack can be a bear to get to and if I remember correctly, it requires a 17MM wrench. And be very careful about the O rings on the ends of the tubing. There is a post in here somewhere from when I changed mine but I cannot find it. The ~~ $90.00 line looks like this.... Jim Drive your car. Use your cell phone. CHOOSE ONE ! JimD
I would avoid aftermarket sources on this hose. And I erred a little on the price; it was $108.00 from one of the web GM parts places. JimD
FWIW I found the 'other' post. Looks like the bottom fittings are 18MM. http://caddyinfo.ipbhost.com/index.php?sho...hl=is+it+doable Jim Drive your car. Use your cell phone. CHOOSE ONE ! KHE
If the rubber hose portion is cracked, you can have the hose repaired for a LOT less than the cost of a new one. Check the yellow pages for a shop that repairs industrial hydraulic lines. In Michigan, there is a Parker Hannefin distributor in larger cities. Logan
My hose was leaking in the short chunk of rubber hose....multiple small leaks....maybe 10 pin hole leaks. Mine was about $110. Not really that bad of a job.
