rbrantlee
I mentioned in another thread that my 37K 98 STS is losing coolant out the exhaust and am considering replacing the head gaskets myself. I noticed that the service manual says to first check the head bolt torques. Does anyone have any experience with loose head bolts where retorquing them cured a coolant loss? Is it worth a try? Guru? rbrantlee
Thanks for the reply. Made a spark plug shell compression adapter today. Will use it this weekend to identify the head/cylinders with the problem.
