bobnsue2
Hi, Talking about my 91 STS 4.9 with a friend, He said the bad running when cold and ok when warm is usually the Mass Air Flow sensor. But I don't see one on this car. Is there something that takes its place? Thanks, Bob B
Ranger
I think the 4.9 uses a MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor instead of a MAF sensor. That said, I am not sure what effects a bad one would have. Someone more knowledgable about it will have to chime in.
Scotty
Here is the MAP sensor, from your last thread however, you have replaced it? >>>Oh!, Scotty, the MAP is a used one but I got two at the pick and pull for a few dollars so I tried the other one. Made no difference.<<< Early on sailors navigated by the stars at night and the North star became the symbol for finding ones way home. Once you know where the Northstar is you can point your ship in the right direction to get home. So the star became a symbol for finding ones way home or more symbolically even finding ones path in life.
