FlamingGoatBalls
It looks like the bottom part of my wood trim that surrounds the shifter and wraps up to the bottom of the radio has popped up. How do I remove this thing so I can take a closer look? Am I making any sense?
cardio-doc
The whole deal snaps in so you can remove it by pulling up and out, starting at the rear-most portion (closest to back seat) and carefully pulling straight up, releasing the clips from the rear and heading forward (toward the dash). The last clip is on the vertical portion above the ashtray and that one pulls straight out toward the rear of the vehicle so you want to grasp both sides of the trim piece around it and pull straight back, so as not to damage that clip. ~Doc --- Direct Performance on Ebay CaddyInfo.com Cadillac Conversations Blog
cardio-doc
As you can see, one of those clips was broken off this particular console trim piece. ~Doc --- Direct Performance on Ebay CaddyInfo.com Cadillac Conversations Blog

FlamingGoatBalls
The area in red can be pulled up slightly on mine like the wood piece is not attached to the clips
