JBuckley
Well, what a job, but it is done, got it all back togeather , car cranks and runs security light goes out after 5 sec and everything works ok but I have the alarm chimes going off. When I turn the car off the chimes get faster and the security light on the dash flashes even if I remove the key and close the doors. Did not have this problem before my lock cylinder messed up, it would not turn to the off position. When and had the key double checked for the right resistance, it is ok. Anyone have any ideas or thoughts on what I need to check, I looked in the manual and can not see any thing relating to this problem. adallak
John, So, what was wrong with the ignition lock cylinder? You started new thread which is not good. The saddest thing in life is wasted talent
JBuckley
My lock cylinder had a spring cap which came off, this would not allow the switch to go to the off position, it kept it in the on/run position, I would have to pull the fuel pump fuse to kill the engine and then disconnect the battery since all the electronics would be on, if I reconnected the battery I could start the car and drive it around, just could not turn it off or get the key out.
