AC Compressor Fuse

Has the check engine light flashed on at all or have you gotten any messages? Are you sure the compressor is not cycling? If you look at the front of the compressor while the car is idling you will notice that the front of it runs a minute or so and then stops, if that is happening, then its possible that you to get the system recharged. Here is the fuse box from the 1999 owner's manual, I circled #26, the AC compressor clutch fuse, I also pasted the location of the fuse box in the upper left hand corner. Mike

Here is the location of the compressor, circled in red. Watch the front of the compressor to see if it moves and then stops. If it does you may need to have it recharged. I would have thought however that if it was that low in refrigerant that it would have set a code for Low Refrigerant.... Do you know how to check for codes? Do you have any that have been set?

I can't help you further with that code, I have a 96 and the code is not explained. That the code is history is good.

Have you determined whether your compressor is cycling?
